Mystery of the Disappearing Cat

The Mystery of the Disappearing Cat is the second in the 'Five Find-Outers' series of children's mystery novels by Enid Blyton. It follows the first book in the series, The Mystery of the Burnt Cottage. It tells of a stolen cat that five children work to uncover. Pip and Bets are pleased when the once empty house next door is now lived in by Lady Candling and her valuable prize winning Siamese Cats. One in particular is very special, and is called Dark Queen. However, they don't like Mr Tupping, the horrid gardener, who is bad-tempered and very unpleasant to Luke, who also works in the garden. Then mysteriously Dark Queen is stolen, and all the clues point to the Find-Outers friend, Luke. They set about trying to find Dark Queen and prove that Luke is innocent. Much to the annoyance of Mr Goon, they find out who the real culprit is. Do read this book. You'll love it.

A GOOD COME BACK.

THIS IS ENID BLYTON'S SECOND BOOK WHICH I HAVE READ TILL DATE, AND I A SORT OF LIKED IT... AND AM REALLY IMPRESSED WITH THE WAY THE WHOLE INVESTIGATION WENT AND ENDED. WHILE I WAS READING THIS BOOK, I CONSTANTLY FELT THE URGE TO KNOW ABOUT THE CAT AND THE MYSTERY BEHIND IT'S UNUSUAL WAY.

the mystery of a disappearing cat

this is really very interesting book.its the second book of ''find outer's''series.A prize cat of Lady Candling disappears. She is a neighbour of Pip and Bets. Not even the gardener knows anything about the disappearance of the cat. But soon Lady Candling comes to know of it. The children feel that the gardener is the thief because he is a sour-faced, grumpy fellow. Heis very unfriendly and rude. But there is not a single clue which points to the gardener. There are many suspects and the children speak to each of them ,but they cannot make out who the thief is. They also come across certain clues such as a stone with a splash of tin paint on it, smell of turps in the cat house etc.. The gardener, Tupping is a very rude and nasty man and the children ... are sure of his being the thief. But they do not have any clues. But soon the story takes a turn and they find more clues and they come across the real thief. You will have to read the book to find out.
